Moorings Cottage St Dogmaels Reviews

Philip
A very nice cottage with parking on sight I had a Kuga vehicle got through the gate and plenty room to park. The dogs could out in the enclosed back garden and they were safe I would go back to this cottage.
Roy
Great place to stay, clean, well-equipped and tidy. Importantly, the garden is fully enclosed, so our dogs could be let out without fear of them roaming. The location is ideal for the Pembrokeshire coastal path, Poppit Sands, Cardigan and Newport. If we holiday in the area again, we will try and book the Moorings.
Heidi
We had a lovely stay in this sweet little cottage. The location on the doorstep of the estuary and a stones throw from the beautiful Poppit Sands beach is superb. The internet was a bit patchy if you used more than one device but otherwise it was sufficient. You have your own parking space separate from the flats next door. The fish & chips shop about 15 mins walk into the village had good quality food and judging by the queues is popular with the locals. Will certainly consider coming again.
Gaynor
Lovely property in a beautiful area. Perfect when you have dogs with outside space for them. Really close to a lovely pub and a beautiful beach, Poppit which accepts dogs on the one side even in the summer months. All round really comfy cottage.
Roy
Lovely bungalow nice and quiet and ideally placed may be a parasol for the garden as it gets quite sunny.
Brian
We had a lovely week, cottage was clean and comfortable in a beautiful area
Angela
Exceptionally clean & tidy lovely spacious living area perhaps could have done with a bit more storage space in the kitchen but thatââ?¬â?¢s a personal wish as we tend to cook most evenings. Outside space is just a wonderful sun trap all day the dogs loved it as did we lovely walks from the doorstep good pub a few yards away good local shop cafe & fish & chip shop definitely recommend & most definitely go back
Mark
My wife and I were very happy with cottage and its facilities. It's location was good for visiting location up and down the coastline. So many places to visit with our dog. Found the area was very dog friendly Locally we found The Ferry Inn had a nice friendly atmosphere for a drink and the restaurant served good quality food.
Anthony
We have stayed at the Moorings before and will certainly consider coming back again. The location is excellent for our, quiet, relaxing holidays that we look for. The local amenities in St Dogmaels are more than sufficient for our needs.
Linda
The cottage is perfect for canine companions, easy to sweep up. We managed to stay cosy, the new radiator s meant we could manage the room temperature perfectly. Garden is great for watching the morning murmuration of the crows in the morning if you can't make it down to the river.
Peter
Very comfortable will book again
Linda
The new shower was a huge bonus
David
On arrival you drive into a car park at the rear of some flats so a bit disappointing but don't let this put you off as the area and people are very welcoming. The "cottage" is compact and a little tired so doesn't deserve the 4 star rating it was probably given some years ago but is perfectly adequate for a short stay. There were some defects which I have pointed out and will hopefully be acted upon by the owner. If you have a dog with you then a daily visit to Poppitt Sands is a must.
Simon
A little dated, but nice location.
Thomas
Clean, compact and ideal for a couple . Ideally situated with many beautiful beaches and places of interest just a short drive away in any direction. Good restaurants nearby. Highly recommend the Copper Pot in Cardigan Town centre.
Virginia
The cottage is ideally situated close to the Teifi estuary. It is well furnished and very clean. The garden is gravelled but with shrubs around is pleasant to sit in and read a book, is not overlooked and gets sunshine most of the day. A good base to explore the surrounding countryside.
Andrew
Nice little cottage in a perfect location a few yards from the beautiful estuary and a 10 minute walk to the village centre with its excellent local store, great fish and chip shop and the mill which sells fantastic bread made from its own milled flour.
Jennifer
We had a lovely stay at Moorings cottage, the location is a perfect place for exploring the area and St. Dogmaels is beautiful. Our two little dogs really appreciated the enclosed garden as they could be out there anytime without us worrying they could escape! The cottage was clean and very comfortable. We would definetey stay they again. The Ferry Inn is a lovely pub food is very good but a bit on the pricey side.
Evelyn
Very comfortable accommodation and peaceful location. Perfect for visiting Poppit Sands with our dogs and for accessing the Bay to Remember dolphin and wildlife spotting boat trip. Beautiful countryside and scenic coastal walks. Must come again! Unreliable Wi-Fi access, only possible in the area at the rear of the property.
Raymond
After 6 visits it is obvious we like this particular cottage. Due to location to enable visits to all the beaches and coves along this lovely coastline. Close to 2 good pubs for drinks and food. Nice local market on Tuesdays. Also the Preseli hills are worth a visit with a lovely reservoir for walks etc and a good restaurant. The cottage itself Is perfect for dog owners due to Poppet sands which all dogs love. But also perfect just for couples. Well worth a visit.
