Ael Y Bryn Reviews

Anthony
An extremely spacious, spotless and comfortable cottage. All requirements are fully catered for. Its location, a couple of miles from the coast, is ideally sited to explore this beautiful area of Pembrokeshire. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10 in all aspects.
Jonathan
Very spacious home in the heart of the village with a fantastic garden. Great parking which is most important in Newport. We enjoyed our stay in this house.
John
The cottage is beautifully located for everything, easy to get to with its own parking space. Well equipped with plenty of room outside as well as in.
Angela
Excellent cottage in a great location. Very well equipped, spacious and comfortable.
Janice
The cottage was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and plenty of instruction leaflets. Unfortunately there was not one for the gas oven which we needed as none of us was familiar with this type of oven. We reported this on the Monday and someone came to help us with this on Tuesday. The other issue we had was the unusual staircase which at the half way level split giving two narrow half steps and then on one side there were another 5 normal size steps and on the other side only 3 steps which meant these were oversized and shallow. When we first arrived and not aware of this my husband missed his footing and fell. In our opinion the staircase was a bit hazardous.
Mary
The cottage was perfect for the 5 Adults staying. Plenty of room in the kitchen/dining room without getting under each others feet. Very close to the Royal Oak and the Castle for eating out great food in both. Close to shops Newport has you covered for everything you may need.
Stephen
The cottage was spacious and well equipped. The owner was pleasant and easily contactable to help with any issues.
Hilary
Ael y Bryn is a very well-equipped and most comfortable cottage in the delightful small town of Newport, Pembrokeshire. The cottage is blissfully quiet but it is within easy walking distance of the Market Street which has all essential shops, from a Spar to a pharmacy as well as a quite exceptionally high quality butcher. There are nice cafes and friendly pubs nearby. There are marvellous walks from the house - either up the paths to the open moor of CarnIngli above the town or down the lanes to the sea and the old harbour of Parrog and then on to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path in either direction. The helpful owners live nearby and are contactable in case of any problems, but the cottage is well supplied with all essential information. Ael y Bryn is a wonderful base for exploring a glorious part of Wales.
Wendy
We had a great Easter weekend at Aelybryn. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and a toddler. It was very warm and comfortable and well equipped . The location is super, a very short walk into the town but quiet and peaceful with only the sound of the brook. Lovely to have space to sit outside and enjoy the sun and the view of the sea. The lane down from the cottage is very narrow but the owners helpfully sent directions which avoid this. Communication and support were excellent. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the many beautiful pictures
Karen
We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was spotless, homely and warm. Everything you could have needed was there. We enjoyed the log burner & appreciated the little touches that made for a warm welcome. The fresh flowers, milk in fridge for a cuppa & welsh cakes. The peaceful setting, beautiful views & perfect weather all made for a super stay. We loved our stay & would definitely recommend to others & hope to return in the future.
Robert
The cottage is lovely and spacious and cosy and in a great location for walking from the door. Also very close to the shopping area.
Paul
An amazing cottage, in a wonderful location that we will definitely return to.
Tracey
A very well stocked property, lovely to see just little things like salt and pepper and cooking oil, the things we always forget to pack! Had a hair drier, iron and towels and tea towels.Very comfortable sitting areas and bedrooms. The outside area was well maintained and nice and private. Ideal for a family bbq. Location was brilliant to go into town, a 3 minute walk, with 3 pubs , a butcher, greengrocer, a small supermarket 2 bistros, post office ,pizza takeaway and gift shops.Less than 15 minutes to the sea front ( not much of a beach though)with toilets, and a lovely chip shop. We would love to go back.
Patricia
We had a lovely time at Ael y Bryn. The cottage is spacious and comfortable. It was great to have 2 sitting rooms and a sitting area in the kitchen/diner. The outdoor space is nice with good views from the garden. It is well placed in Newport with all facilities close by and private parking for 2/3 cars is a bonus
